Improving Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights in Dhaka

Ipas Bangladesh with its partner organizations is implementing a five-year project titled Improving Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights in Dhaka funded by Global Affairs Canada through HealthBridge Foundation. This project will work with different stakeholders including general physicians(GPs), garment industries, UPHCSDP, DGHS and DGFP to improve availability of and accessibility to quality SRHR service for the disadvantaged women and girls living in urban areas of Dhaka, Naryanganj and Gazipur districts.

Project Goal

The project aims to improve and strengthen sexual and reproductive health and rights and address SGBV issues of underserved and vulnerable women and adolescents in Dhaka.

Objectives

 Improve availability and accessibility to quality SRH services for poor and
underserved women and adolescents living in urban areas.
 Increase social support, knowledge, and self-efficacy related to SRHR, including
SGBV resources for poor and underserved women and adolescents living in urban
areas.
 Improve public health (PH) emergency preparedness and response to ensure
availability of and access to uninterrupted delivery of essential SRH services &
supplies during PH emergencies, including pandemics
